Where to Watch:

There is a reason why I have watched this movie so many times. There is a reason why I recommend people to watch this movie even though it might not be for them. There is a reason why I love it so much. It is a completely immersing wild ride!
First, let this get out of the way. Do you need to watch the previous Mad Max movies to watch this one? The simple answer would be – no. But who am I to say, even I haven’t (I am going to though). You don’t need to have a back story to watch Fury Road. All that you would need to know to enjoy the movie is already there. George Miller made this movie so that he could explore the Mad Max world again. And thank god he did. This movie is like an adrenaline drug that just keeps giving us a heavier dose. And I have heard people going – What the hell is going on?
So, I want you to know that there have already been three Mad Max movies and this world has already been created. You won’t get an ‘official’ introduction to who Max is, or to Immortan Joe, or even the half-life warboys. Don’t try to find too much sense out of everything. Go with it! I mean there is a heavy rock guy blazing fire, figuratively and also literally, from his guitar amidst the rusty cars and tanks jumping over one another. That’s badass! But as I said, you don’t need an introduction to all these guys. Within the first half an hour, you will understand what Valhalla means even though we are not once told what it is.
Mad Max Rockatansky is a former policeman turned post-apocalyptic road warrior. He’s tortured soul, haunted by the people he couldn’t save. Fury Road starts with a wild scene where Max gets kidnapped into these warboys’ den and he tries to escape this place. He goes left, goes right, warboys are jumping from above, pulling his leg and whatnot. No matter how much I try to explain that scene you wouldn’t understand how it gets your heart beating fast within the first ten minutes. This gang of warboys is lead by Immortan Joe, a leader thirsty of power. And what gives him power? He has access to the only things that matter in this deserted world- water and gasoline.
The movie starts with a usual, as it seems, trip to trade produce and water for petroleum and ammunition led by Imperator Furiosa. But things take a turn when Furiosa makes a detour and Joe realizes that she has taken his breeders with her. From then on it is a fucking ferocious chase, but a bloody good one.
This without a doubt might be the best action movie out there. Action isn’t just about fight scenes. It is about creativity as well. You would see a lot of that in these high octane desert wars out there. There are spiky cars, petrol being spit to give some nudge to the engine, and people swinging on poles while the car is moving… And all this just never stops. A mild-hearted person might even get a headache while watching this. But the adrenaline pump and wildness in the warboys when they get their tongue out while screaming ‘WAR!’ is contagious. We get the tone of the movie when one of the warboys Nux, says ‘What a day! What a lovely day!’ when he sees a car blast in the chase. I had my head banging in the air when the heavy music gave a beat to rock while the fight goes on.
Good action sequences also need great camera shots. What’s the point of all the creativity if you can’t capture all of it? Fury Road absolutely nails this part. The gorgeous scenes, editing, and even the sound effects. It has cinematography that is quite comparable to Blade Runner 2049 or Dune. The color schemes also work well. It is mostly yellow in the day and blue in the night. That contrast gives us such beautiful shots, I wish I could watch it in the theatres. Action movies should take notes and aspire to be something like this, although there will never be something like Mad Max: Fury Road. This is at a completely different level.
After all this world does suck you into it and makes you a part of it. And even in this world where every man’s instinct has come down to survival, there are moments of hope that give some heart to the movie. When the warboy who was so blindly ready to give his life for Immortan Joe changes, that makes a beautiful moment in the film. These are the moments that set Fury Road apart. Even in the madness, there is motive, reason, and redemption deep inside. There seems to be a sense in the insanity because there just isn’t any other option.
If I had to joke about it, the movie is about some people going from one point to another. But along the way, Miller does so much. Miller made this movie in his seventies. Making this movie needs the utmost passion with insane vision. I wish I am as good as what I do as Miller does it in his seventies.
There are some movies that grab a part of your personality. This is one of them for me. I absolutely love it!

In the awesome pattern of things you actually secure a B for effort and hard work. Where you confused me personally ended up being in all the details. As the maxim goes, details make or break the argument. And it couldn’t be much more true right here. Having said that, let me say to you precisely what did give good results. The authoring is definitely incredibly engaging and this is probably the reason why I am making the effort in order to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, while I can certainly notice a leaps in reasoning you come up with, I am not necessarily confident of how you appear to connect your ideas which in turn help to make the actual final result. For right now I will, no doubt yield to your point however hope in the future you actually link the dots much better.
Thanks for the suggestion. Appreciate you taking the efforts to convey your point of view.
Always improving!
I’m still learning from you, but I’m making my way to the top as well. I absolutely enjoy reading everything that is posted on your website. Keep the information coming. I loved it!
Will do 😉
